would not think an app removal cause this unless a shared file was removed which seems unlikely . Tried phone memory format yet ?

don't format your phone, it's a big waste of time reinstalling all the apps back.

Take it from me, i have the same prob wit my n6600 v5.27. it used to be fine, back then i was pickin on my girl's n7610 because it always asks for time and date (even if auto - update is on) whenever batt pack is removed.

after a while, i dunno what caused it, sudenlt the same thing happened to my n6600. irritating but have to deal with it patiently.

ALL WRONg this silly thing bcoz of Nokia (as the maufacturer n vendor n inventor) didnt put any internal clock battery n the crystal (this crystal means clock generator for most of electronic stuff), n THESE is crucial coz without these stuff no way u can keep up the time.

So this is factory fault not ur phone. except u can try to turn on the auto ajdust time feature on ur phone n hope dat ur GSM operator support this feature, so everytime u turn on the phone (after turn it off) the phone will try to connect to the BTS (base transceiver station) n synchronize the clock with the BTS clock, but REMEMBER not much GSM operator have this feature

I agree with tayyw76, the problem is the internal clock lithium battery was flat. Must be replaced, because it's not rechargeable

it is possible that firstboot.ini file cant save in your c: drive

example :
try to delete firstboot.dat or ini file and then restart your mobile may be this problem can be solve.

Yup, but maybe its also caused by misuse, i had been usin my phone as a modem for almost 1 years, and need to input date and time when i take the battery out. Since my sis 6600 older than me and dont face the probs, i think its the battery fault ^^

eh, actually the internal battery is recharged everytime u charge ur battery in yur fone. if u use desktop charger to charge the batt, the internal batt will deplete n the time is reset. its takes quite some time though, not depleted in days but weeks or months.

i agree.. The problem here is that the INTERNAL CLOCK isn't charged or not charging anymore... or there is a NOKIA FAULT that causes this failure (maybe factory defect).

This problem is well know to b present in older nokia phones....it had this probs.....But newer phone no longer have this kindda probs....the removal of battery does not make ur phone ask fr time n date.....new phones like 6630 n all store the date as it is....even if the sim is changed....while in some new models they might not ask fr date n time if battery is removed but might ask fr it if the sim is removed
