in the new arrival phone from nokia like 6630, 7610, 6680 etc. if we have a .sis files, we can't just send it via bluetooth.. if we try that, the phone sez "Unable To Send Protected Objects"

so what u can do is just rename the file extention to .sisx.. after that u can send all protected objects..

hope this will be useful!!

or u can take the easy way out n just install profimail application on ur cell......Profiexplorer is also installed along with it....it sends the files straight away .....so there is no renaming required......

on old files you can´t send anyfile without aid of profiexplorer. only pics, vids and songs can be sent out without another app aid.

you can hide them and set a password using apps like smartguard.

yea i know that, but what i mean is to make the files cannot be send, even it isn't in .sis anymore like the files in E:\system\apps\name_of_apps\the_file..

i guess that some files are protected by nature. don´t know which ones actually because i never got that error. i think you can´t just protect a fie other then hiding it.

i am a new member here.
i had been trying all the time to find an alternative for the file rename trick for sending protected files coz i have a new symbian and an old s40 nokia and i wanted to transfer files like jar and midi to s40 which does not have a GPRS connection. when i send renamed jar files to s40, it fails to recognise.
thanks mate, i can now install profiexplorer on s60 and get on with the job.
