IT CAN"T WORK!!!!!!!!!! First look for some documentation and then u would know why it can't work. The only way to unlock it is by replaceing an electric part in ur bb5 phone. That part is called RAP3G and its the 3g device. It costs about 70-80 euros.

I have asked around and it's not yet possible to unlock this phone. To add to the woes, 3 network is not ready to give the unlocking code despite the fact that I want to end my contract by paying them the balance amount. They say they have not been supplied with the unlocking codes from nokia. 'Pretty hard to believe' but thats what they are telling.

This RAP3G thing sounds new...............has anyone tried it.

I think this BB5 unlocker is a dummy as if you check the task manager whilst the program is running, it seems as though it isnt doing anything.
just a mere pop up box.
Am I right in thinking that everybody gets the error message when the status bar gets to 15% ?...thought so.

Someones having us on.
There is a solution but unlockster.com want £20,ooo BIG 1`s for it.
I dont want mine unlocked really cos its on the beloved vodafone, but since they flashed my fone with the latest firmware, I have been able to use a tmobile simcard in it no problem whereas it wouldnt allow me before.
They say they can unlock BB5 `s remotely and i`m guessing they have the real deal software.

Anyway, with regards to this dummy software, abhik01...i fink you posted it in here so you could get loads of visitors to your spyware infested site to make you more money!
If and when someone around these forums gets a hold of BB5 unlocker, they will be a very rich man and won`t dare give it way for free for a long long time.

So, i`d sugest that anyone else using this software doesnt bother as it really is just a useless popup window.

It's not like everyone has spare RAP3G-chips around let alone an appliance to solder/resolder those.

do you know where this componant is located in the handset?

Im willing to look into this idea. I have the nokia service guide and repair guides for all the BB5 handsets which lists all the part numbers too.

Maybe between us we can work something out.
