View Full Version : SmartLauncher problem on QD ??

hi...

is anyone ever install smartlauncher on QD ??... if yes, ever meet a problem when some icons are missing ??... I mean some of my games icon are missing. I still can run the game or application, but on the menu only the title of the application is show and not the icon. I try the "update apps" from the menu, but still not showing the icon. I've try evrything, still missing the icon. Is that supposed to be like that ??

btw, when I install app or game, the app or game not instantly show in the smartlauncher menu. I have to choose Remove memory card from the power button then press cancel, so the device will read the mmc and violaa... the app icon appear in the smartlauncher menu. Is that supposed to be like that ??

Much better be if you uninstall this app. When I install him on main phone and restart, then main phone doesn't start up any more.. :( (visit nokia service) so uninstall SL.

hemm.. that's funny....

I install it on my mmc... when first install.... it had a problem when move a folder or icon, it said "system error". Same when you press hide or switch between SL and standyby mode.... but the problem is gone once I restart the phone.... and everything goes well... except the problem with the missing icon...

and, in case you ask what happend when I remove the mmc, it automatically close the smartlauncher but no error.... and I can remove the mmc and when i put it back, i just press the menu button and the SL will run with no problem... except the problem with the missing icon.... :D....

why don't you try install it in mmc.. and give it a second chance.... if only it replace every menu interface not just the menu.. it will be a very nice app...

I suggest not to install Smart Launcher coz this programs got so many probs this is the reason for a hard format on phone tested it on many phone devices such as N-Gage(classics/QD) this doesnt give you a damn good thing on your phone,, example is you cant use your memory card on other phone when this is installed on the card & 1 more thing it gives system errors on phone & that bug icon thing on N-Gage and on N-Gage if you got many installed app or N-Gage games on MMC this app conflicts oneverything so i suggest just replace your default icon using sysicon app or a sis file icon & just use wallpapers if your tired of the looks of your phone

NEVER install smart launcher, itll mess up ur fone, consume all ur RAM, so u wont be able to run any apps, and ur fone will go dam slow. and as u can see, it even took away u icons...

wow... is that so ??... you scare me, man....

so I better unisntal this program right away then ??... sighh... so much for good looking menu then...

in the end... so far there is no better themes manager for S60 v1, huh ??... we must accept that our n-gage is that look likes that... hehehe... i've heared a theme manager project called themenizer or sounds like that. Is taht true ??...

hemm.... then I canceled my "project" for creating a skin... :D

one more question... if this smartlauncher make problem with n-gage.... how about other s60 v1 phone, like 7650, 3650, 3660 etc ??... is run okay or had a problem too ??... just curious....

sysiconz ??.. hemm.. this app create a lot of folder to safer the icons... so when you browse to phone memory... you will see a lot of icons for every app.... i'll pass... besides... it's only change the icon... i prefer change the whole look... if possible the standby mode.... hehehe.. :D
