hey wazup people... im trying to flash a nokia 6680 (with external 9v batt) but it keeps giving me this problem:

any ideas why this is happening??

using cracked hwk???

unfortunately yes... but only temporarily till its availiable in my country.. why? is that the reason? but i was told its still possible to flash BB5 platform phones with cracked hwk, but with slight diffeculty... is this true? im still trying to figure it out properly..

only work with dctx v1.4 test 10, test 14

maybe your cable is broken. try a new cable.

the cable is new... but ill have to try the dctx 1.4 test 10. i think i might have copy somewhere on my hard drive..... i let you know if im successfull

after ransacking my harddrive, it appears i dont have a copy of Dctx 1.4 test 10 or 14... do you perhaps hav e a copy of it?? please would you post it for me if its possible.. thanx man, much appreciation..

if i flash my 6680 will it be network free ? because it is locked on three uk and i cannot use it in my home town ...

when you flash it, it should unlock all networks depending what files you flash.. also use the UI options, but it doesnt have the "reset simlocks" for BB5.. after flash it should be open... just give it a try..

Please. Do you mean that there are some files that can unlock bb5 phones like 6680 if the phone is flashed with these files? If so can I then get these files to try on a nokia 6680? Thanks:yawinkle:

by upgrading the firmware, it should theoreticlly unlock the network locks... i mean its a whole new operating software and should open everything except security block... the files are huge, 69.1mb is the latest... have to download from support site....

Do you have any idea of how to remove simlock from these phones? I searched in vain on the web. the guys who said they can unlock them can only do it via unlock code. and a bad unlock code should not have been put 5 times in the phone less the real unlock code will be useless.

true... the only way to do it is via flash box... do you have a sarasoft ufs3 flash box?

you have to download it from your support site.. for nokia 6680 the latest version is v6.0 if im not mistaken.... the file is too big to post here, but if you have the hardware, you should automatically have acces to the support files... good luck

look, im not 100% shure.... but if i understand it corectly, theorectically all the locks should be open... im currently trying to flash this 6680, im in SA but im going to flash a europe software version 6.0 which im downloading only now... ill let you know for shure in the next few days if it will be successful.. if its not locked after flashing, then it means it can be open with flashing it.. ill keep you posted....

which version dctx you use? use "flash update" with the dctx

delete folder "flash" C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\FLASH

reinstall dctx and click "repair"

i flash it using dctx 1.4e with hwk..but i'v try with jaf n it succeed..thx bro..i'll try next..

for BB5 flashing, JAF better than HWK... more stable
