hello to all dear seniors, I am facing a problem that when I download any megaupload file it says following :-

All download slots (300) assigned to your country (India) are in use.
Please try again later.

And I am not able to download any megaupload file..

This is happening since 1 month..What to do???

Well I've been having the same problem for over a month...there's nothing that we can do about it...and the message it shows is pretty self-explanatory...at any given point of time they wont let any more than 300 ppl from India download from Megaupload...far more aggressive than Rapidshare...

try using Hide Ip Platinum, it makes the megaupload to recoginise that you are downloading from some other ip (country), keep on changing the proxy (by right click on the hide ip on the task bar and choose change proxy) until you get an US IP, bcoz for US mega upload has too many slots, so change it and then start browsing with the mega upload site and download alot :D

you must reset your ip and proxy so that the site doesn´t recognize you as another one from india. you see, those sites work by ip so for instance if many people are acessing megaupload with computers on LAN that work with the same ip, if one computer downloads something from megaupload it would be the same as if all of them did the same thing. this is a problem with rapidshare because it has download limits.
thats why i always advise to use other hosts like file front.

The solution is simple...

Guys u need 2 download "Alexa toolbar" that it tells u to download.

Thats it..the toolbar is harmless.only takes a bit long to load with IE.doesnt work with IE 7.

once u have installed,it doesnt show "all download slots...etc" dialogue and u can download many times..evem with DAP under normal acceleration speed.

It works and am still using it...:ilove:

resetting IP only works if your IP is Static (dial-up) but it wont work on DSL broadband.

I tried to download Alexa installer but my AntiVirus McAfee always delete it because it detects it as an ADWARE....can anyone please tell me what to do?

no problem cutereg. i dont encourage users to use alexa toolbar, rather, i'm leading them to options since they are having problems downloading from megaupload. similarly, that's what rohit1751 above suggested since downloading from mega is more important to him and i think he can manage using alexa toolbar more (along with the others perhaps since a lot needs to download from mega without PAYING a premium account) than not being able to find a workaround.

using the usual webwarper or guardster or ip hide or whatever proxy or related software solutions we discovered a few months ago are not working anymore if in case you still don't know.

finally, my suggestion is --- let's not decide for people, we give them options and let them decide on their own. anyways they will come back to these forums if their selected option wouldn't work according to what they really need and want. :axe:

hide ip platinum doesnt work for megaupload. Its hopeless, either buy megaupload premium or ignore it. :(

there was a firefox hack for megaupload that worked sometime back but megaupload beat that too.

Here is a crack/trick for Megaupload which stops the message "All download slots... assigned to your country are in use..." from appearing while downloading a file.
Here is solution:

-Go to address bar and type: about:config
-Search for general.useragent.extra.firefox

-Double click on it
-Change the default text with this: Firefox/2.0 MEGAUPLOAD 1.0
-or if you are using 2.0.0.4 version type next: Firefox/2.0.0.4 MEGAUPLOAD 1.0
-Start Downloading witout any Toolbar
