Available in over 20 languages.
Provides several verbosity levels for a better user experience.
Additional voices and languages can be plugged in.

Product InfoMobile Speak is a screen reader for mobile phones, providing speech feedback as you navigate through the phone's user interface. Mobile Speak allows access to all of the phone's applications, including third-party applications that are not part of the standard set of software supplied with the phone. It also includes bundled software, such as Code Factory's accessible calculator, an accessible sound recorder, a game, a MP3 player, and FExplorer, a file-system browser.

Mobile Speak is offered in a variety of languages: American and British English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Icelandic, Arabic, Turkish, Polish, Chinese, Russian, Greek and Czech.

Good application. But I wonder how the blind can get this application? After all, they would have to look at the computer screen to download it. rofl.

Isn't this application specifically made for the blind?
Alright, so it is (Let's assume it is).
But if the blind were to download this application, they can't probably do it, as you would still need to see to download it.
So if they can't see the screen, how are they going to download it?

thepeople who are blind or partialy sighted recieve brail letters and have designated radio programs informing them of the latest things that might interest them as many who are partialy sighted are registerd as blind people ...but i do understand when you say "how can they see a computer screen " but the fact is some special computer screens print out a brail sheet to help them.....and a closing note to spoty teenagers....if a man/woman in the street comes up to you and puts his/her hands on your face...he/she may be blind and thinks your acny is brail.....lol......

Hey this is the new version. I installed it but it keeps on restarting my phone. I have managed and unistalled it though. The problem with this version is that it cant load the language file and so it reboots over and over. I wonder why don't BINPDA crack this software. Man I was SOOOOOOOO eager that actually dreamed that this version would work.

i tried this app on n70..and keeps rebooting. sorry i don't recommend this app.. if you guys are not skilled enough you will have to reformat it .. but there is a way to remove it without reformating..

To remove the app on N6630(in my case), Reboot and hold the Edit Key(Pen) which will stop the app from running on start up. Proceed to App Manager and remove it from there.

Question to all who have the rebooting problem:

Have you follow the suggestion in the nfo file, install the language file THEN install mobile speak?
TIA.

Well I did it and I still have the same problem. Have you tried it? is it working?GB6630, thanks for your response.

Sorry, I haven't tried it myself. I have no more phone for experiment.
I suspect the problem came from Scansoft TTS (text-to-speech) since many application using it have problem.
On the other hand, Mobile Speak should give up itself when it cannot find the sound service, instead of rebooting the phone.
GB6630, would you like to experiment with other language release to locate the problem?

cheers, kosh.

I also tried it with the Scansoft language file that came with the previous version. But then I noticed that their release dates and filesize were the same. Ok I'll try with some other language pack and let you know. I wonder why BINPDA didn't crack this one...

KOSH

Finnish language pack worked for me. I installed the 16k version of the language pack since I have 6630...But I don't know whether this will continue to speak for more than 10 mins. I am just saying that I dont know if its a full version or not...

GB6630
10th March 2006, 22:58
I also tried with acapela Jane 16k sound file... still it doesn't work.Guys with OS 8 and above handsets install only the 16k sound file. I think all the other language versions except English are working. But hey the new version of Mobile Speak 1.126 is out. Hope SyMPDA cracks it properly this time...I wish BINPDA to crack this!!!!!!!!

kosh
13th March 2006, 11:18
Dear GB6630:

Thanks for your sharing.
So it seems that the problem is more on the sound part rather than the Mobile Speak itself. Maybe the SyMPDA team is more concentrate on it.
So, for the English version we have to wait for the next release.

hi yes this app killed my brand new n-gage qd from nokis i had it 6 days lol. took it back again and there sending me another new one  . i am disapointed cause i love the n-gage qd and waited a month to get a new one and it was a gold version with white rubber around it looked alsum, but thats a different story, see i need this moblie speak to work i cant get it to work on my n70 6600 and of course my blown up n-gage.

I just want to know who here has got this application working and what model of fone was it on,see its very imported i freind i know his brother is half blind well very and at the moment his got a old nokia black and white screen.but his willing to buy a symbain fone capable of using this app after all its the only reason his buying a new fone,i just want to make sure i tell him to get a fone that its going to actualy work on.

Sum 1 said works on s80 so do u think thats the better option, and if so i will need a s80 version, does any one have the web site to the makers of this software due to i really would like to search this up so his happy with the end result :)

I beleave software like this is very good and imported to sum and many people. It wasnt that look ago almost two months ago,I was on a bus heading home when a girl and her aunty hoped on at a stop, they sat in front of me as they did i realized the girl she's 17 was mute and was communcation to her aunt throught sign language.

a few mintues latery i saw she had a brand new n70 on the three network i later found out she video calls her mum cause she can see her sign language,i throught that was pritty cool that new tech in this world is very helpfull, but to get to my point i then pulled out my n70 and started twt smart talker another alsum and very helpfull app.I enter hello! then pressed start and put it in front of them, the girl smiled at the fone i think she realized what it was doing she communcated to her aunty then the aunty spoke to me asking whats is that like how do u do that.i explained to her then showed her and told her that gals fone can do the same she could use it to cummuncate at the shops where ever she :)

She end up asking to get off the bus and go have a coffee with them at the next shopping center so we did and in the end the girl was very happy and greatfully we are good friends now and i get to learn bit of sign lanuage :)
so in the end stuff like this is very helpfully to sumone in that dissablety,so just aking bout mobile speak i really would love any feed back from any1 bout mobile speak on which device's it works best thank u cause its for a good cause.
