This is just a quick release primarily aimed at correcting installer issues.
Bugs Fixed-Corrected an issue where the installer did not respect language-specific folder locations.
Fixed a bug in the installer that detected whether or not the device may need a soft-reset after install.
Fixed a bug on WM2003-based phone devices where the "connected" indicator did not work.

Enhancements

Added an option to remove the "Desktop" shortcut from the cascading start menu.
The installation of the default themes is now optional.

Bugs Fixed

Fixed a bug in the signal strength detection on a phone device.
Fixed a bug where the signal strength on WM2003 devices could not be accurately detected if the window system color was changed.
Fixed a bug where the signal strength meter would be displayed after a phone call when the user had specificially disabled the meter.
Fixed a bug where an application could not be set to hidden in the settings program.
Fixed a bug where changing the "Custom Tasks" settings did not get applied until a restart of the program.
Fixed a bug where it was next to impossible to close a program that was selected to be minimized.
Fixed a bug on MIO A701 devices where the program would not start up.
Tapping on an item in the start menu which is currently displaying a submenu will close that menu without reopening it.
Fixed a bug that caused a massive slowdown on all Atom devices.

Added a "Desktop" option to the cascading start menu. This can be skinned by adding "Desktop Icon=" to the "[Start Menu Skin]" section.
Lightened up the start menu sublevel image on the WA Default theme.
Added the Latvian language.

Added logging (enabled through the registry) for determing where the lockups occur on some devices.

Fixed a bug where the Close/OK shortcut could close the WisBar Advance Desktop.
Fixed a bug where the "Please Wait" skinned object required a full path instead of a relative path.
Made a small speed adjustment to the cascading start menu.
Fixed a bug where sublevels in the cascading start menu did not get the appropriate color settings (when not using images for the background).
The phone signal strength for Flight Mode is now detected properly (on WM5 devices).
Fixed a bug where the cascading start menu did not scroll correctly after switching between landscape and portrait.
Made a correction to the battery/memory meter so it will pick up the correct color.
Fixed a bug where the SIP button would not display properly in Weather Panel's settings dialog.
Rewrote some of the skinning code in an attempt to speed up the UI.
Made a change to "play more nicely" with Sprite backup.

But my friend's wisbar has the battery level display at the bottom, meaning the icons are right under tasks with its percentage left, and its clearer than the icons in wisbar advance 2. Is his a diff version? or can we do the same withthis version? Thanks though. u rock the ppc apps. lol

Wisbar has many skins which have different colours, icons, buttons, background etc. Thus, I suggest you look for the skins for Wisbar and see which suits you the best.

I have not personally used this software for WM5 but I have used Wisbar before on the 03SE version of PPC.

I've been using Wisbar 2.5 for just a couple of weeks but I must say it's very nice. Gonna update today to 2.6. :) Have problem looking themes for Wisbar for my WM5 all over and found very few results, however. Thanks for the update.

WA2 claims that it expands WA features..more responsive & richer user experience. Task management is being labelled to the app because it, inter-alia, has the following features:

Close, minimize or ignore any application
Switch between any application currently running on your device
Provides a cascading start menu
Tap and hold the OK button to cancel a dialog
Add or remove functions to the taskbar
Each button on the taskbar can be assigned a tap and a tap-and-hold action
Change the appearance of the taskbar, menubar, buttons and start menu in any program
& bla bla bla...

This doesn't work on O2 atom .Just hangs and have to reset .Nope may have to wait for newer version

The developer is trying to come out with some bugfix so that it will work on O2 Atom. Guess those of us using Atom just need to be abit more patience. It seems to be happen on some I-Mate pda too.

Do not think we need to wait for a new version to use it on Atom.

Same issue with the Atom.
The developer (Chris) said that he is working on it.
Just a little more patience mates, for our good. ;)

running both apps, definately will takes it's toll on your device memory (issue is to what extent can u tolerate), .. this issue has been discussed over and over again in lakeridge website's user forum e.g. here http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum/archive/index.php?t-5001.html & many more if u do a search on the same ;)

anyway, rule of thumb..if u installing anything that have something to do with your today screen, install it to device memory & not on memory card..:)

I have installed v 2.6.0.6 beta and used same keygen on my atom .It is working smoothly

I installed wisbar advance 2 on my mio a 701 but it doesn't seem to work. I run it and it says please wait... wisbar is loading and then back to where it was. Under Running Programs List it doesn't appear at all. Thought it was a software conflict so I did a hard reset and installed only that but it didn't work again. What am I doing wrong? Please Help!!!
