Is everything ok but MMI, I downloaded and tried to use it but something somewhere looks wrong. The screen loads but then it closed at a later stage. I had downloaded maps around a month or two ago and was loading the latest one on the 1st page now.

I have tried all combinations like old maps and new software, new map and old software but nothing is working. Pls help.
try these instructions to get mmi working on diamond

1. download the new release.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ... _0509_.zip

2.download map
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ... 200901.rar

3.Extract the contents to a folder say "MMI" software & Map.
in map folder donot copy the included license file in map folder.

check the license, opening with notepad, must be in readable form.

4.Edit Ordinale.ini, make it like this..

[Main]
Brand=MapmyIndia
SaveTimeZone=1
Captionless=0
Screen=WQVGA
ShowPOIShortcuts=1

Topmost=1
ExpWrn=1
disable_ticks=1
ShowMinimizeBtn=1

TruckAttribs=1
OldStyleSearch=1

[Navigation]
NMEA=GPGGA;GPRMC

[Advisor]
language=1033
gender=0

voice=

[GPS]
Found=com1:,57600,8N1,none
(try another baud rate if u r unable to get gps fix.. a lower value say 4800)
[List]
buttons=0

5. after this copy mmi folder to internal memory of diamond.

6. start from exe file.. should open , if throws an error then do this editinf in ordianle.ini

add ...

MapDir=Internal Memory\MMI (must have been created automatically so need to alter)
Map=india_mi_200901.cpf

imp -> change resolution
Screen=WQVGA
to Screen=WVGA or VGA

This was for diamond, so dont change screen settings ,if u are using other than diamond

change the map directory manualy to sd card or give the path where ur map is
