elo guys,can you please help me with my physics 72 subject?

the topic is electric charge... and we are asked to do some laboratory experiment... by using charged tapes (charged because of the process of sticking it with another tape and then removing it quickly), we will observe if this charged tape will repel or attract to other objects like another charged tape, finger, strand of hair and metal...

as said in the procedure:
warning: this experiment may not work well in a very humid room. In this case, the experiment has to be performed in a quicker pace.

my question is

"Why this experiment does not work well in very humid environment?"
