Mobile content distribution is taking off in a big way in India, thanks to explosive growth in Indian mobile subscribers. The sheer number of Indian startups that have come up in last few months in this space is a testimony of its growth.

The latest to join the bandwagon is a venture between Global software company Mobio and Indiatimes. They announced the launch of mobile value added service application — iMobizo – that will enable users to get information on their mobile phones.

The platform would enable customers to get applications of their choice ranging from cricket to stock news, contests, astrology, jokes, songs, ringtones, or latest political and business news by downloading the platform from the web on their GPRS enabled phones for free,

Moreover, the users of the service would also get to view the web version of the Times of India newspaper and Economic Times on their mobile phones
