Default Fixed WLAN speed settings in firmware?

just sniffed around in the firmware files of my E71 and found the following entry:

    <WlanTxDataRate>6M</WlanTxDataRate>

Does this mean that the speed is fixed to weak 6MBit/s?!?
I always had the feeling that WLAN is pretty slow on my E71. Some pages seem to open faster when I use HSDPA connection...

Entry is located in the file RM346_0558785_110.07.127_001.dcp (checked only this because it fits my product code)

You can open this file with winrar, in the folder ProductConfiguration you'll find the file wlan_gen2.xml which includes the command line posted above.
