Can't find Search feature for forums?

I just joined this wonderful forum. I am an educated forum user.

Am I crazy. I want to search for items etc. I looked under forum tools, scanned all the pages.

So that I don't have to ask dumb questions, how do I search?

The Only forum that I can find a search function for is this one. The problem and support forum.

When I try to use the advanced search function from this forum I get an error that I do not have the appropriate rights and privileges.

Respectfully I would like to request that I am granted the appropriate user rights to perform searches in the forums.
