1.1 Requirements
Phoenix version 2009.4.12.37934 and Flash Update Package 09_12_05_14 or newer is
required. Some previous Phoenix versions and flash updates have been reported to be
unstable when flashing N96 and this Phoenix version and flash update onwards have the
product specific improvements.
FPS-10 requires additional memory card and will still be slow in refurbishment flashing with
large mass memory content. FPS-21 is recommended.

2. KNOWN ISSUES
*#7370# is not working properly with this SW release
Resetting the device and formatting C-drive with *#7370# is not working properly with this
SW release and can result to unstable operation of the device. It is not recommended to
use *#7370# at any situation. In case reset and C-drive format is really wanted, it can be
done by holding down green dial key, star (*) key and number three (3) key, when switching
the device on from power key. Hold down all three keys until Nokia welcome animation is
showed.
NSU update can cause device to reset randomly when updating to this SW release
NSU update can cause the device to randomly reset after the update. Switching the device
off manually from power button will recover the device from the problem. The problem is
caused by DRAM corruption in final boot during the update. This doesn’t affect the SW
update itself and after manual reboot device works fine.

New Mass memory content images are required for this SW release
New Mass memory content images for 20.050 SW onwards will be delivered separately on
DVDs and need to be ordered as spare part and correctly installed to DP installation
directory in order to make complete refurbishment flashing.
