cre file missing

hello! i have a strange problem with my p1i... i formatted and reinstalled the software on the phone because it got too laggy - great success! however when i tried to install swmail's sound mod lite as before i got this problem:
the file 1020867a.cre which is to be patched should be in 'C:\Private\10202be9\persists\'. however the file is MISSING! there's a bunch of .cre files but not this one..

ideas anyone? apparently the phone runs and plays music great without the file but i'd like a bit more volume in my headphones again
also if you can recommend a better sound mod - go ahead :]
