well, i don't know much about linux.......
however, one of my frnd tried to install linux kernel via bootable cd in a pre-installed windows xp sp2 desktop........
the bootable cd of linux was quite old......it worked fine having two different operating systems on different partitions of hard disk.....
until my frnd downloaded and installed latest packages of linux to have a new version of linux operating system......
here, the problem arised...
the pc failed to load the boot manager and asking for grub????????
wat to do.........he even searched on linux website....however, was confused???


plz help.........
the windows xp pro sp2 is quite a older and stable version.........he doesn't want to format the pc again..........
