gaming laptop i5-540M or i7-740QM..?!!

i have following questions in yahoo but am not satisfied :'(

"Don't get fooled by i7 advertisement!! i7 generates more heat and reduces the life of your laptop! For laptop, best is i5! But if you are willing to take the risk, go for i7 but it is a waste if you buy i7 and pair it up with an average card!! IF YOU BUY i7, GET A POWERFUL GRAPHIC CARD WHICH CAN MAKE A GOOD COMBINATION TO PLAY THE LATEST GAMES AT 1080p QUALITY ABOVE 50fps!!"

my main problem is
if i go for i5 i can buy normal GPU if i buy i7 i need stronger cpu eh..?!!

i7 is hotter or i5 is hotter..!!
