Can any1 help.

I have a ipod touch 4G. with 4.1 IOS and its jailbroken.

A lot of games and apps r now asking for updates and hence i want to update.

I have following questions.

1> Should i update using Apple?
2> I have done some research which talks about custom firmware. Does this delete all information stored? All scores and local data?
3> Is there any place where this is step wise given specifically for my kinda case?
4> Is 4.3.3 the best update to have???
