Theme - Astrazione (by tavolone/tazenda)

Astrazione is a theme that focuses on the colors of the backgrounds and Maemo interface. If you want to give color to your N900 Astrazione is the theme for you. Below you will find images of nude desktop.

The screenshots are all very recent. Only Section Calendar and Calendar - Week have some smaller elements of the status bar, battery icon, the phone signal etc. etc., in unmodified form or in any earlier than today. All other screenshots show these elements in final form.

Installation of Astrazione

1 - Download the file .deb (Astrazione_3.0_armel.deb) from the link found at the bottom of the post
2 - Copy it to your MyDocs folder inside the N900.
3 - Run the file manager Maemo (or FileBox if you have installed) and look for the .deb file of the theme (Astrazione_3.0_armel.deb)
4 - Select the .deb file of the theme (Astrazione_3.0_armel.deb) and start the installation

At the end of the installation the theme will be available in the list of selectable themes for Maemo.

Installing Icons


To use this iconpack need to have the application installed on your N900 Theme Customizer

1 - Download the file .deb (Astrazione-IconPack_3.0_armel.deb) from the link found at the bottom of the post
2 - Copy it to your MyDocs folder inside the N900.
3 - Run the file manager Maemo (or FileBox if you have installed) and look for the .deb file icons (Astrazione-IconPack_3.0_armel.deb)
4 - Select the .deb file icons (Astrazione-IconPack_3.0_armel.deb) and start the installation

At the end of the installation to use the iconpack the theme you have to go into settings and select Maemo Theme Customizer. Look for the entry Icon Theme and select the button below. In the list that appears you will find the name of the folder that is dedicated to the theme,hicolor-astrazione. Select it and saved. Now reboot or turn off and turn on your N900 and icons of the theme will be active in your theme.

As an alternative to reboot or shutdowns of N900, you can run from the terminal the following command:

killall hildon-desktop

Importante:
Inside the folder hicolor-astrazione that you just installed are all available icons for the theme but a bug relating to custom themes not all are actually displayed. To use all the icons actually available for the theme of Astrazione is necessary to download two scripts, one for installation and a second for the uninstall icon is not visible. The link to download the two scripts can be found at the bottom of the post with the related guidance for their use.

Additional desktop:
For those who want to have more than 4 desktops, inform you that inside the folder backgrounds the theme is present in .png and .jpg the image to be used for a possible fifth desktop. L'immagine è stata creata a distanza di parecchi mesi rispetto ai quattro desktop di default e per questo pur adattandosi perfettamente agli altri ha una leggera differenza cromatica, in pratica sembra leggermente più scuro. Diciamo che questa piccola anomalia serve a "ricordarsi" qual'è il dektop che abbiamo aggiunto. Non ci sono immagini per i desktop dal sesto compreso in poi.

Installing Icons

1 - Download the script, found at the bottom of the post, and copy it to MyDocs
2 - Open the terminal and type the following commands:

root
cd /home/user/MyDocs
sh Astrazione_Icons_install.sh

3 - Out of the terminal

To verify that the icons are well installed, open Multimedia. You should be able to see the icons as shown in the screenshot "Multimedia menu".

Uninstall icons

1 - Download the script, found at the bottom of the post, and copy it to MyDocs
2 - Open the terminal and type the following commands:

root
cd /home/user/MyDocs
sh Astrazione_Icons_Remove.sh

3 - Out of the terminal

To verify that the icons are well installed, open Multimedia.You should be able to see the original icons of Maemo.
