Those who are happy with their Nokia N9 smartphone but they also want to try something else besides the MeeGo system provided by Nokia, can now embark into the world of Android smartphones by installing a special Android Ice Cream Sandwich version that can be used on the Nokia N9 phone.
To test the “Project Mayham” creation you don’t have to alter the original OS of the phone, the Android 4.0 version being installed separately and accessible through a menu that is displayed when you turn on your phone.
The installing procedure is very simple and easy to do, but even so it is not recommended for less experienced users as there is a small possibility to damage your phone if it’s not done properly.
The functionality of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS on Nokia N9 is almost complete and it only lacks Wi-Fi support and accelerometer , as well as one of the sensors integrated in the phone.
