Hey guys,
I have 2 laptops and a smartphone at my home connecting to the wireless network. The internet connection on both will work only as long as the other laptop is not accessing the internet simultaneously. If both the laptops are trying to access the internet simultaneously then the internet will not work on either. To brief you on the setup, I use a telephone line internet access which goes into my D-link ADSL 802c router which is connected to the Cisco e1000 wireless router.
Both the laptops are set to obtain ip address automatically. The adsl router works on 192.168.1.1 and has a username and password setup within the router itself. Since the adsl router is on 192.168.1.1, I was adviced by a friend to switch the Wireless router to 192.168.5.1 so that the ip addresses do not clash. However it did not help. Also the ISP asked to keep a particular DNS and Preferred DNS. In order to avoid feeding this in each laptop, I changed it directly in the wireless router. The wireless router is on the DHCP mode.
I have tried resetting multiple times and tried using a static ip and even tried using fixed ip address on my laptops but it does not help the cause.
Any ideas what is wrong or how I can fix this.
Wireless test file uploaded for more details on current network.
Please Any help is appreciated.
