AutoMapa i.e. a reliable co-driver
AutoMapa is a satellite navigation system. It determines the fastest route to the chosen destination. Its user is guided by instructions given by an automatic co-driver along the selected route. Each manoeuvre is preceded by voice instructions and the car's location is constantly being displayed on the screen. It is possible due to satellites system. GPS receiver determines the position of the car within an accuracy of several meters and AutoMapa processes generated data.
The system is mostly used in cars. However, it may also prove useful when riding a bike, sailing or when hiking.
The navigation system based on AutoMapa includes GPS receiver, PocketPC pocket computer and AutoMapa software with maps.
