FLASH BB5 WITH STANDALONE LATEST VERSION OF PHOENIX SERVICE SOFTWARE 2006_20_14_153 (101% working + tested on 6681, N70, N80, N73)

Nokia BB5 Firmware Flashing Guide

This is the standalone version of PHOENIX 2006 and there is not need to install PHOENIX 2004 thus it will not create any mixture at all.

Download and Install Diego (3.06 or 3.07)

Download: 55667793_Diego_3_06.msi
Installing Diego
Launch the Diego installer, follow the on-screen instructions. (Basically just hit next until the installer is finished.)

Download and install Phoenix 2006

Download: phoenix_service_sw_2006_20_14_153.exe
Download: phoenix_service_sw_2004_39_7_70_crack.exe (Its dongle crack works with 2006 also)
Download phoenix 2006 cracked files (which includes phoenix_framework.dll, phoenix.exe, cmnaudiocontrol_2ui.dll )

Installing Phoenix 2006

Open the crack(phoenix_service_sw_2004_39_7_70_crack), do not click Install just yet.
Launch the Phoenix 2006 installer and hit next to proceed. Follow the on-screen instructions.
When prompted for a Nokia dongle, hit retry, then immediately hit install on the crack, overwrite DLL files.
Reboot machine when prompted or not prompted (It may tell "DEskey not found" two times. Click OK it two times

After restart do the following commands

copy phoenix 2006 cracked files phoenix_framework.dll, phoenix.exe, cmnaudiocontrol_2ui.dll to C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix and overwrite the existing files

Note:
if phoenix doesnt works properly, then do the following commands in START > RUN
regsvr32 C:\Progra~1\Nokia\Phoenix\phoenix_framework.dll
regsvr32 C:\progra~1\Nokia\CDMA\context.dll

You can now run Phoenix 2006 forever.

Please note:

Dont install phoenix software on windows xp home edition pcs, use on WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL EDITION (SP2 IS PREFERRED) and WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTER EDITION (2005).

Uninstall completely any previous versions of PHOENIX

Uninstall any PC Suite applications

Uninstall any spyware, antivirus applications (TSRs)

Do not use any other application while using phoenix

Do not flash phone with the sim card or memory card otherwise it may lead your phone to a dead state

Flashing Your Phone:

Download a firmware of your choice.
Remove the SIM card, and memory card from your phone.
Turn on the phone (it will start in offline mode because there is no SIM card inside).
Plug in the USB cable to both the phone and the computer.
When prompted, select "PC Suite" from the menu list on the phone.
Wait for *all* drivers to fully install themselves before proceeding. You will see the driver icon disappear when it is complete.
In Phoenix, choose File, then Manage Connections.
Check USB, and then click Next
It will then search your USB ports for the phone. When it finds it, hit Finish.
Once it has finished scanning, click apply, then click close.
Next, select "Scan Product" from the File menu.
If you did it right, you will see information populate itself in the main Phoenix window. This is crucial. If you do not see similar information, and if the phone is not being detected. Stop. You did something wrong.
From the Flashing menu, choose SW Update.
Wait for Phoenix to continue talking to the phone. You will see some information scroll by in the SW Update window.
Choose the .FPSX file for the "Image File"
Choose the .V0# file for the "PPM File"
Click "Start".
You can also let autodetect if you dont want to manually choose the files.

The flashing process takes about five minutes to complete. The first few steps ensure connectivity to the phone. After it verifies connectivity, Phoenix will automatically restart the phone. Once it has completed (a dialog box will popup saying it has completed successfully), you may close Phoenix, unplug the USB cable, and restart your phone. It should startup with the firmware you flashed to it.

For my N73, FIRMWARE UPDATE function worked. Its same as for Series40 interface of flashing. As for my NOKIA N80, N70, the option SW Update worked. I think nokia introduced S40 flashing system (Firmware Update) for NOKIA N73. I think we can flash DEAD N73 also as there is DEAD PHONE FLASHING option also. And i have sucessfully udated my NOKIA 6681,N70,N80, N73. So guys cheers and enjoy this quality release only from SAM.
